AXIS PHYSIOTHERAPY

Hi, I’m Lesley.

I’m the face behind AXIS Physiotherapy. I’m an experienced Pelvic Health and Sports Physiotherapist with a passion for helping people move with confidence, whether that’s returning to the gym, chasing your children or grandchildren, running a marathon, or simply living without pain or worry.

My Story

I have a background in the NHS, private sector and insurance based physiotherapy as well as elite sport.

Movement has always been a huge part of my life. I spent years competing as a dancer, I then moved into CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting and recently took up rugby. So I understand what it means when your body doesn’t let you do the things you love or when you want to try something new! That experience has shaped the way I work with every patient—not just treating symptoms, but helping you build strength, confidence and resilience for the long term.

I'm very lucky to be dual trained in Pelvic Physiotherapy and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. That means I can treat all your classic injuries as well as additional female specific injuries listed below.

Pelvic Physiotherapy is about so much more than pregnancy and menopause.

I work with people experiencing:
✨ Pelvic pain
✨ Chronic back and hip pain
✨ Bladder leakage
✨ Prolapse
✨ Pregnancy & postnatal recovery
✨ Menopause
✨ Struggle with return to sport
✨ Starting Strength training

My approach combines evidence-based physiotherapy with strength and movement, because I believe your pelvic floor should help you live life—not hold you back.

Whether you’re an athlete chasing performance or someone who simply wants to feel comfortable and confident again, I’m here to help.
